Abstract

Digital government refers to the use of IT and informatics applications based technologies to improve the information's distribution to citizens. It also offers new opportunities for citizens to have more direct and convenient access to government and to provide government services directly to them. Digital public administrations are today needed to ensure fast and high quality services for Europe's businesses and citizens. This implies an increase in funding programs and initiatives aiming the modernizing public administrations through a coordinated approach, facilitating user centrality and cross-border interoperability. This paper carries out an analysis of digital governance in Europe and Romania, highlighting how digitalization  has evolved in our country in recent years. The good implementation of digital governance enables people and organizations to change their infrastructure and thus makes the public service more efficient for the whole population. Romanian digital government evolution it has a close connection with the use of most of the digital tools both public authorities and institutions, citizens and organizations.
